Zomato Launches Pure Veg Fleet & Pure Veg Mode, Deepinder Goyal: Food delivery giant Zomato announced a major breakthrough for its vegetarian customers. Co- founder Deepinder Goyal took to social media platform X (Formerly Twitter) to announce this major upgrade. He posted a thread describing about this newly launched Pure Veg Fleet & Pure Veg Mode on Zomato.
Pure Veg Mode will consist of only Veg restaurants; Pure Veg Fleet will deliver only veg meals
Firstly, Deepinder Goyal posted, “India has the largest percentage of vegetarians in the world, and one of the most important feedback we’ve gotten from them is that they are very particular about how their food is cooked, and how their food is handled”.

Then, continuing his thread, he said that in order to solve dietary preference of vegetarians. Pure Veg Mode will consist of a curation of restaurants that serve only pure vegetarian food, and will exclude all restaurants which serve any non-veg food item.

Apart from this, Pure Veg Fleet will only serve orders from these pure veg restaurants. This means that a non-veg meal, or even a veg meal served by a non-veg restaurant will never go inside the green delivery box meant for our Pure Veg Fleet.

Special cake delivery fleet on the cards: Deepinder Goyal
Deepinder also announced that in future, Zomato is planning to add more specialised fleets for special customers. He said that, special cake delivery fleet will be equipped with hydraulic balancers, ensuring smooth delivery of cake. It will be rolled out across the country in next few weeks.
