Schools In UP To Reopen For Secondary Section From 16 August

Schools In UP: Uttar Pradesh government has decided to resume physical classes in school for classes 9-12 from 16 August with 50% attendance. Classes will be held in two shifts. First shift will be from 8AM to 12 noon and second will be from 12:30PM to 4:30PM.

Government has also allowed universities and colleges to start physical classes for 1st year from September 1 and has also given instructions to begin process of entrance exam for students in colleges/universities from 5th August. Offline classes for 2nd year are allowed to start from August 16.

Classes for university students, whose admissions will be based on entrance tests, will begin from 13 September. Universities have been asked to declare results of students by 31 August who appeared for second/third year examinations. Therefore, classes for 3rd/final year will begin from 13 September.

Higher education institutions will function five days a week i.e., Monday to Friday. Keeping corona curfew in view, the institutions will remain closed on weekends.

CM has also directed the officials to organise special vaccination camps for students who are above 18 years of age.
