Poorva Express has been derailed near Rooma village in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Atleast 12 coaches of the train have been affected due to the derailment in Kanpur at around 1:00 am on saturday.

The Poorva Express is a daily superfast express train of Indian Railways which runs between Howrah, West Bengal, and New Delhi, the capital city of India.

The train attracts travellers from Bihar, Jharkhand & West Bengal.

The District Magistrate of Kanpur, Vijay Vishwas Pant has said that rescue and relief operation is underway. No casualties reported till now.

He added that Buses are being arranged to take passengers to Kanpur Central.
