Kamala Harris, who early on was a Biden opponent for the nomination, brings the political prowess of winning statewide election in the largest State while also personifying the diversity that key Democratic activists have said is crucial to building grassroots enthusiasm for the ticket.
Biden and Harris will deliver remarks Wednesday in Wilmington. According to the New York Times an event was being set up at Hotel DuPont’s famous ballroom, but it was unclear if it is for the Biden campaign.
While U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign in a statement criticized Kamala Harris as Biden’s vice presidential pick, claiming the California Senator embraces the “left’s radical manifesto.”
“At the ballot box, Americans will resoundingly reject the abysmal failures of Biden-Harris in favor of the America First strength of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence,” Trump 2020 senior advisor Katrina Pierson said in a statement.
