US Election Results Live Updates: Joe Biden now leads in both Georgia and Pennsylvania with 1,097 and 5,587 votes respectively.

Neither candidate has reached the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the White House yet. But Joe Biden eclipsed Trump in Georgia and Pennsylvania the two crucial battleground states.

• Georgia (99% in): Biden +1,097

• Pennsylvania (95%): Biden +5,587

• Nevada (89%): Biden +11,438

• Arizona (90%): Biden +47,052

After trailing the incumbent President Donald Trump, Biden inching closer to the victory mark.

Republican incumbent President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden were locked in a tight contest to secure the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.

Biden is also currently in the lead in key states Arizona, Georgia and Nevada. Fox News and the Associated Press have already called Arizona in Biden’s favor, but other US media have said the race is still too close to call.

In the 538-member electoral college, the candidate needs to secure at least 270 electoral votes to be declared as the Presidential Elect. Counting of votes is still going on in key States like Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada.

As per the latest , Democrats are also leading in Arizona and Nevada whereas Republicans have maintained their lead in North Carolina.

Trump has amassed 214 electoral votes so far, with his path to victory narrowing.

Following this, the US Secret Services have started moving in with the safety protocol for the candidate in waiting. New restricted “national defense airspace” has been put in place over Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware.
