'Don't Leave Us In Chaos': Rashid Khan Appeals To World As Unrest Increases In Afghanistan
Afghanistan Leg-Spinner Rashid Khan

Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan on Tuesday, appealed to world leaders for peace and not to leave Afghanistan in chaos.

22 year old Afghan leg spinner tweeted, “Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed. Thousand families displaced..,”

“Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace,” Khan added.

Meanwhile, violence in Afghanistan is on the surge after Taliban has captured most of the provincial capitals of the country. The Afghan government has withdrawn forces from hard-to-defend rural districts to focus on holding major population centres.

USA has also decided to withdraw it’s troops from Afghanistan by 11 September 2021 after almost 20 years. Recently, there were speculations that US is doing some changes in troops withdrawal plans but President Joe Biden has denied such speculations.
